A rep from Starhaus Entertainment stated, "According to the ruling delivered by the Seoul Western District Court, using Lee Min Ho's pictures to sell facial products without a contract is considered illegal; thus, the courts decided to place a ban on sales to companies T, K, G, and other businesses that made unauthorized usage out of Lee Min Ho's photos."
Son Suk Bong, the legal representative in charge of handling Lee Min Ho's case pointed out, "The products which are circulating the market were distributed by several businesses without a contract with the agency. This kind of behavior is not only an infringement on Lee Min Ho's rights, but is also a disservice to the consumers and the tourists who visit Korea."
A Starhaus rep further related, "Lee Min Ho is currently under an exclusive contract with a well-known cosmetics brand so it's impossible for him to be a model for any other cosmetics brand. We hope that consumers won't suffer harm from similar case such as this in the future."
