On the 18th's airing of MBC 'Human Documentary's 'Miss Korea, For the Crown' special, a familiar face was spotted among the crowd! She especially caught eyes among all the contestants participating in the Miss Korea beauty pageant when they practiced for a dance segment.
Lena explained, "I was a JYP trainee for 3 years, and I also learned dance in the U.S," when asked how she was able to dance so well.
Lena was expected to be in JYP's new girl group before, and many had looked forward to her debut as she proved her showmanship as a featuring artist for Sunmi's "Full Moon". However, when the time came for her to renew her contract as a trainee under JYP Entertainment, Lena decided to just return home to the U.S. as she was more interested in pursuing an acting career.
"After I left the agency, I just wanted to go back to the U.S. and act, but this opportunity of Miss Korea came along, so I grabbed the chance. I thought that this was one way to help me achieve my dreams."
Lena was crowned as one of the four Miss Korea USA, so she is now back in Seoul practicing with all the other regional winners with the hopes of becoming the Miss Korea that will represent Korea as a whole.
Good luck to Lena!
