British economic analysis firm Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) recently released its 'Worldwide Cost of Living 2015' report, which ranks the most expensive cities in the world according to different categories. Singapore was crowned the most expensive city overall with Paris, Oslo, Zurich, Sydney, Melbourne, Geneva, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, and Seoul making up the rest of the top ten.
Specifically, Singapore and Seoul were chosen as the cities with the most expensive clothes, 50% more so than clothes in New York City. (Don't worry, there are still cheap places to shop--like Gangnam Station!)
Cities that notably dropped in the ranking include Tokyo and Caracas. While Tokyo has often held a place in the top ranks during past reports, due to the declining value in the yen, it fell to 11th place. Meanwhile, Caracas, which was sixth place last year, fell out of the top 100 due to unstable exchange rates and lower oil prices.
Netizen top comments to this news include, "Rather than clothes, it's our makeup that's the most expensive," "Everything is expensive except for labor... even though labor requires the most skill...," and, "So... are the clothes white and gold or blue and black?"
That last comment though.

Planning on a trip to Seoul? Make sure to bring a stuffed wallet and to break free from whatever frugal mentality you have, because Seoul is apparently the 10th most expensive in the city in the world.
