Congratulations to TVXQ for establishing that they're one of the most successful Korean artists in Japan!
Their album 'Tree,' which was released on March 5 last year, ranked in 13th place with 265,013 sales on Oricon's recently released list of album sales chart for the year of 2014, making TVXQ the foreign artist with the highest ranking in Japan this year apart from the various artists on the 'Frozen' OST, which placed in second.
In the same chart, Girls' Generation's 'The Best' and 'Love & Peace' ranked in 22 and 25 with 175,988 and 170,898 sales respectively while Big Bang took the 32 spot with 133,501 sales for 'THE BEST OF BIGBANG 2006-2014'. Rounding out the top 100, 2PM was ranked 63rd, Daesung 64th, Taeyang 68th, and SHINee at the 87 spot.

For the singles chart, TVXQ also took the best ranking at 48 with 'Sweat/Answer,' which was released on June 11. Their 'Hide & Seek/Something' single ranked at 56 and 'Time Works Wonders' at 59 for a total of three places in the top 100 singles chart of 2014.
Apart from TVXQ, 2PM ranked at 61, Kim Hyun Joong at 73, and Super Junior at 78.
