Writer, critic, and TV personality, Heo Ji Woong filed for legal action against anti commenters on Ilbe for leaving spiteful comments, making personal attacks, and creating false rumors for his honest review on the movie, 'Ode to my Father.'
On December 29, Heo Ji Woong tweeted, "There is someone who pitifully continues to write posts about me. I decided to leave it alone because I thought that person was not in the right mindset but I realized that the post received a lot of attention through Ilbe and Chosun.com. I just want to say that the data on the author as well as those who spread the post have been collected and I will be going under legal proceedings against them."

He continued, "I don't know about anything else but if there is someone who continues to talk about Jeolla province ocellate spot skate, so on and so forth, then I hope you guys point out [the wrongs] regardless of your relationship [to the person]."
On December 31, Heo Ji Woong tweeted again, "There is some kind of miscommunication. I'm not suing those who have talked badly against me. Depending on the issue, it's okay to agree or curse someone out; it's not like we are lovers or anything. The reason I filed a lawsuit was that people continue to say I have committed a crime and others are taking advantage of the situation and spreading [the rumors]. Happy New Year."
Meanwhile, Heo Ji Woong recently became the target of Ilbe users for his negative review on the movie, 'Ode to my Father.' In addition to dealing with personal attacks, Ilbe users also referred to him as 'Jeolla province ocellate spot skate,' a derogatory term for people from the area.
