Super Junior's Shindong has decided to step down from MBC Radio's 'ShimShimTapa' after 6 years as DJ.
Shindong started the show in April of 2008, and fans as well as listeners are sad to hear the sudden news. SM Entertainment told Star News on June 25, "After discussing with the producers, he decided to leave the show due to military enlistment in the second half of this year as well as Super Junior's planned album." The agency added that Shindong received his enlistment order this past March from the Office of the Military Manpower Administration.
With Shindong's last days as DJ coming up in July, it's been decided that 'ShimShimTapa' will be taken over by singer Jung Joon Young.
Listeners commented, "I'm sad I won't hear Shindong's energetic DJing anymore," "I'm used to listening to his funny stories every day at midnight," "I'll miss you, Shindong oppa," and more.
