In an interview with My Daily, legendary duo Fly to the Sky revealed they still maintained close ties with Lee Soo Man from when they initially debuted back in 1999 under SM Entertainment.
It was revealed that after getting discharged from the army, Hwanhee went over to visit Lee Soo Man with Brian to disclose their plans for a comeback to him before anybody else. After winning first place on a music program, they personally contacted Lee Soo Man again to thank him.

Hwanhee said, "Lee Soo Man is the father of Fly to the Sky. That's why we went to him and told him foremost about our plans over a meal before making our comeback. We would have felt really sorry if we had not told him before releasing a new album. That is discourteous. We would have felt frustrated even after meeting with success."
Previously, he had tweeted a picture of himself with Brian holding up wine from Lee Soo Man to relay their thanks.
Brian said, "We contacted him to thank him after winning first place; he congratulated us and personally sent us wine as gifts. He even sent us a wreath for our concert, so we were moved. To tell the truth, even when we left SM Entertainment in the past, we definitely did not separate with bad feelings. Some of the rumors are misunderstandings. There were no occurrences like blocking our promotions or not allowing us to use our group name. There were no problems."
