Okay, drama, it's that time. That time when we sit down and have a talk about how you're all misinterpreting everything and if you'd just actually /talk/ to each other, things would be going a lot better for everyone.

5. Se Ju, you've got to find a happy medium.
Se Ju (CNBLUE's Yonghwa), my friend, let's talk. You were doing great there for a while- helping Mi Rae (Yoon Eun Sang). Learning the ropes of the broadcasting business was a great way to get to know her, not to mention a great excuse to spend extra time with her. When Shin (Lee Dong Gun) swooped in and took the mentoring position out from under you, you didn't even have much to worry about- that failed amusement park date went really well, and Mi Rae even admitted that she saw you as a man. But after that, it's like you gave up! Look, the spur-of-the-moment barbecue was a great idea, but Mi Rae's a busy career woman now, you have to make plans ahead of time. She's not going to be able to just drop everything and come running just because you kinda sorta admitted you like her- You Kyoung (Han Chae Ah) was right when she said that didn't count as a confession.
Still, you've got to trust your instincts a little more. You're not a big-event kind of guy, you know that Mi Rae's not a big-event kind of girl, why'd you let You Kyoung pressure you into doing a big event? You were awkward, Mi Rae felt awkward- it was all just so /awkward/. All of your best times with Mi Rae have been the little, private moments- listening to music in the soundtrack room at YBS, sharing a blanket after getting soaked, watching your film project- that should clue you in! Make her a little movie about why you like her. Make actual /plans/ with her when you want to see her. Don't try to do things that you have to preface with "I don't like this" or "I'm embarassed". She already thinks you're cool- you can make your feelings known without having to try to be someone you're not.
4. Shin, you've got to watch that temper.
Shin, dude, CALM DOWN. Have you realized that the only time you get what you want is when you're calm? Like when that man threw water on you and you just took it? Or when you just sat there for your stand-off with Mi Ran? People don't listen to you when you swear and lose your temper- you're FAR more effective at getting your way when you're calm.
Losing your cool definitely isn't getting you anywhere with Mi Rae- it's understandable that you left the bar in a huff, but if you'd held your temper and let Mi Rae explain the situation to you, you might have gotten a confession out of her right then and there on the street. As it is, you've really hurt your chances with her. Do you want to prove Ajumma right?
3. Ajumma, you've got to stop with the secrets.
I get it, I really do, when it comes to most of the characters on this show. You're trying to carefully orchestrate a masterpiece here, and that takes some sneaking, lying and general manipulation... but why in the world do you keep on lying to Mi Rae? You've proven you're who you say you are, but you refuse to give Mi Rae the full story of why you're here- it's no wonder she doesn't want to listen to you! If there's some reason you can't tell her everything, explain the reason soon, because I'm going nuts here. Is Joo Hyun going to die? Why? How? Ughhhhhhh tell me!
2. You Kyoung, don't stress so much.
Oh, You Kyoung, I get you. Who hasn't liked the unattainable guy at some point? Se Ju's really nice and I know it's hard to ignore that, but girl you are too smart and too cool for a guy who barely knows you're there. Sure, you may have to play the whole cute-and-kind-of-dumb thing to get your way, but who can blame you when it works? Maybe try looking for a guy who doesn't work in your industry- who likes you because you're you and not because you're playing the role of the perfect broadcaster. If Se Ju and Mi Rae don't work out, fine, maybe try getting his attention again. But for now, you can do better than being the meddling second banana.
1. Mi Rae, keep being fabulous.
Oh, Mi Rae, how I love you. You're smart, you're capable, and all it took was a little push in the right direction to get you to really go for what you want. You work hard, and you don't let anyone distract you from your goals. Don't let all this boy drama get to you- just keep being your fabulous self and showing everybody why you deserve to be the assistant writer.
I don't have a whole lot to say about this episode except /what was Seju thinking/?! Any time you have to start a confession with "I don't want to to this," you're doing it wrong. C'mon man.
What did you guys think? What's your version of an ideal confession?
