Big Bang's Seungri will be collaborating with Japanese singer May J. for a new duet.
They will be doing a Japanese cover of "I Believe" to be included in May J.'s ballad album 'Love Ballad.' "I Believe" was originally sung by Korean singer Shin Seung Hoon in 2003 and became a hit song as the main theme for the popular movie 'My Sassy Girl.'
The duo is receiving a lot of attention as people are wondering what new vibe the song will have when sung by Seungri and May J.
The two of them have also worked together before. Previously, May J. was featured in song "I Know" from Seungri's Japanese debut solo album 'Let's Talk About Love.' The song had originally been included in Seungri's first Korean mini-album 'VVIP' and had been a collaboration with IU.
May J. said, "I suggested a cover collaboration of 'I Believe' so that we could enjoy it with Korean fans. I believe Seungri's clear falsetto will create a good harmony. I'm happy we get to collaborate together."
Seungri said, "I will think of this relationship preciously. Since we became friends through music, I will collaborate with her if she calls for me."
