2PM released their seventh Japanese single 'Winter Games' on the 16th. Since its release, it had been topping Oricon's real-time and daily charts. Now, on the 23rd, Oricon released its weekly chart to show that 'Winter Games' topped that, as well by selling 108,537 copies. As 2PM is the first K-pop artist in nine months to rank number one on Oricon's weekly chart for singles, they are grabbing even more attention.

That is not all. Before 2PM's single was released, Tower Records in Shibuya prepared an exclusive special checkout for 2PM's 'Winter Games' in anticipation for the congestion due to the local fans' hot interest in the group. The album garnered immense popularity as soon as it was released so that it made the number one spot in Tower Records's daily single album sales regardless of genre. It even became number one for their weekly chart, as well.
The much loved 2PM returned to the music scene wearing trench coats to capture the sense of the upcoming winter season for their single 'Winter Games.' They received an explosive response from their fans when they took the stage for their Japanese fan meeting. Before their single's release, they ranked number one on the Japanese ringtone chart, Recochoku.
