Former 'K-Pop Star 2' contestant Shin Ji Hoon recently returned to her roots as a figure skater.
On the May 11th broadcast of MBC's 'Human Documentary', Shin Ji Hoon gave viewers a glimpse of her journey as a figure skater, which requires waking up at 6AM every morning to go practice at the skating rink. Although she began skating during her 6th year of elementary school, which is later than most child skaters, she learned quickly. Within just two years, she was able to win an award at national and international competitions.
Shin Ji Hoon shared, "While I skate, I feel good whenever I feel the wind." Her coach added, "Because she has a lot of ambition, if she can't do something, she gets stress and you can see it on her face."
She also revealed the toll that filming 'K-Pop Star 2' had on her skating, "As I underwent dorm life, I wasn't able to practice at all for two months. So when I suddenly returned to the rink and wasn't able to do as much as I could do before, I put a lot of pressure on my knees. It started hurting a lot eventually."
Shin Ji Hoon made it into the top 10 of 'K-Pop Star 2' and was labeled as a 'musical genius', grabbing the interest of all three judges.
