KBS has announced that its farm-variety program, 'Invincible Youth 2', will be cancelled.
The final recording will take place on November 7th, approximately a year after the show started broadcasting. Due to lack of new ideas and the production cost of the show, it was determined that the long-struggling variety show will go off the air.
Although the program attempted to re-vitalize its sinking ratings last July with the addition of new MC Lee Young Ja and a format change into the 'Youth Hostel', the show failed to attract more viewers, with ratings remaining at a dismal 5-6%.
"All of the 'Invincible Youth 2' members are expressing their disappointment," said a representative for KBS. "Since they've been together for a long time, there is a lot of sadness."
The final episode of 'Invincible Youth 2' is scheduled to air in mid-November and currently no decision has been made on what program will air after 'Invincible Youth 2'.
