On the September 25th episode of SBS' 'Strong Heart', former Jewelry members Park Jung Ah and Lee Ji Hyun appeared on the show and opened up about past rumors of bullying within the group.
Lee Ji Hyun revealed, "The rumor of bullying going on between the Jewelry members is unfounded. I left the group due to health complications. My body wasn't in good shape and I ran into issues concerning my vocal ability. I received a lot of stress because of it, and my health deteriorated. If I had some free time in my schedule, I would always go to the hospital and get treatment. If I didn't stop becoming a singer, I might've even died. I had all sorts of symptoms, and I was getting low blood pressure to the extent that it was difficult for me to breathe. So I decided to leave the group in order to live first."
In response to Lee Ji Hyun's confession, Park Jung Ah shared, "When I was the leader, I was very indecisive. Whenever problems arose, I should have tried to fix it, but instead, I put it to rest. Because I acted the way I did, when I look back, it ended up like this. As the team's leader, I couldn't guide the team well. Seo In Young once said that she felt like the outcast of the group, and I jokingly replied to her asking when I ever treated her like that. The things that I thoughtlessly said as jokes led to greater misunderstandings. Jo Ha Rang also revealed that she felt lonely during her activities as a team."
Park Jung Ah also opened up about the past rumors, stating, "I was so deeply saddened by the rumors concerning Jewelry. Although I can't confidently say that our relationships were great, I can say that the time we spent together was precious and beautiful. Through this opportunity, I want to open my heart again and work together as a group. I hope the ten Jewelry members, in total, can stand on one stage together."
