Rookie soloist Juniel surprised viewers as the singer made an unexpected cameo on SBS's popular weekend drama, 'Gentlemen's Class'.
On the July 7th episode (13) of 'Gentlemen's Class', Juniel briefly appeared in a scene as a street performer performing at a playground in Hongdae. After the broadcast, Juniel became the #1 most searched public figure on various portal sites and her scene in the drama became a hot topic.
A producer of the drama spoke up stating "While we were in the middle of searching for somebody who could perform live, we heard that rookie artist Juniel had experience in live street performances in Japan, so we sent a cameo request to her side."
Juniel also commented, "I had no confidence in acting so I wasn't greedy in wanting to be cast in a drama. But because the producers of the drama viewed me nicely upon hearing my music, I gladly accepted the offer to cameo as a street performer. There weren't any script for me in that scene and they just told me to casually perform just like what I have done in Japan, so I did my utmost best."
The song Juniel performed live in the drama was her self-composed song "Everlasting Sunset" from her debut album 'My First June'.
