Just as actor Jang Geun Suk recently expressed his surprise upon seeing advertisements sporting his face, Girls' Generation member YoonA has responded to seeing herself on 'Love Rain' in Japan.
On July 26th, the idol / actress communicated with fans via Girls' Generation's homepage, writing, "Hey everyone, it's been a while."
She continued to update her fans, "Thanks to your encouragement and support, I was able to successfully conclude the shoot for my past May drama 'Love Rain'. Many people also wished me a happy birthday, I took a summer vacation, and these days I have also been participating in scheduled promotions with my fellow members."
Regarding her current whereabouts, she commented, "A few days ago, I came to Japan for 'Love Rain' promotions, and I feel so glad that there are a lot of people who have shown interest in the show. While I was in Japan, I watched the first episode of 'Love Rain'." She then referred to a pair of pictures she uploaded along with her post, saying, "I have taken proof shots. Watching it here, I felt really nervous and also amazed."
In the first "proof shot", YoonA is seen pointing at the TV screen with an expression that playfully invites the onlooker to see for themselves. In the second, she stares at the TV in shock and amazement, cutely exaggerating her reaction.
Displayed on the TV that stands behind YoonA is an image of KBS 'Love Rain's first episode in Japan that initially aired in Korea back on May 29th. Japanese subtitles are shown at the bottom of the screen, translating the original Korean.
As YoonA has already mentioned, she traveled Japan on July 25th to promote 'Love Rain' alongside co-actor Jang Geun Suk. Back in May, 'Love Rain' first captured Japan's attention when it was broadcasted on Japanese cable channel KNTV (Korea Now TV). Major Japanese network Fuji TV began airing the drama on July 27th, and BSFuji will also air the drama starting August 6th.
