Originally receiving interest as a former SM Entertainment trainee and as�Girls' Generation Seohyun's best friend, Lee Hwan Hee or "Fwaney"�released her first single "Secret", making her entrance into the entertainment industry.

She first stepped foot into SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2002, and now, 10 years later, she debuted with a determined goal in mind. Fwaney said of her debut single, "It's a different kind of happy and feeling because I've been a trainee for such a long time." She added, "I still can't believe I'm a singer, and I am anxious, but also concerned."

A video of Fwaney dancing went viral on Youtube, and questions came up as to who was behind the powerful dance moves. Despite her dancing skills and the public's anticipation for her debut with a dance song, Fwaney faced the public with her mid-tempo ballad title song, "Secret".

"I think there will be many chances to show my skills as a dance singer so I chose a ballad song to showcase my vocals. I'm saving my secret talent for when I show a new side of me soon."



In the past, Fwaney trained to become a part of a girl group, now known as Girls' Generation, and practiced alongside Seohyun, Yuri, and other hopefuls. However, after the final showcase, she found out that she wasn't chosen to be part of the group. Fwaney commented, "I started training since I was young, but I was immature and insufficient compared to the other girls and Seohyun." She also added, "But rather than being sad because I didn't make it as Girls' Generation, I was sad that I couldn't be with the unnis."

Although she has now debuted as a singer, Fwaney quit SM Entertainment two years after finding out the result of the final showcase and enrolled into college, studying and acting for seven years.

"I didn't even think about rebelling at the time, but after two years since not being chosen to be a part of Girls' Generation, I quit being a trainee on a whim. It was a very rash decision. I tried to find a different path, but dancing and singing was what I was passionate about so I had to go back. I feel sorry to SM mentor Lee Soo Man because he was the one who found and trained me."



Just last year, Seohyun shed tears while talking about her "life's most precious friend", Fwaney. Seohyun spoke about the strong friendship they shared despite the different paths that they had to take. From that moment, Fwaney was referred to as "Seohyun's friend" rather than as singer Fwaney.

Rather than being uncomfortable, she voiced her concern for Seohyun. Fwaney stated, "Honestly, I don't mind being recognized as 'Seohyun's best friend', but I'm afraid that it might hurt Seohyun. I don't want her to be burdened by her name being connected to me."

Even after dropping out as an SM trainee, she kept in close contact with Seohyun and continued their friendship. Fwaney expressed her excitement and anticipation about meeting the girls of Girls' Generation, not as a trainee, but as a singer.

"To be honest, I didn't tell Seohyun about my album because it was released before I officially debuted. When she called first, she sounded disappointed as she said, 'Why didn't you tell me?' She congratulated me, and asked me about my debut activities. I think meeting the Girls' Generation unnis and Seohyun in broadcasting stations would be a little awkward, but I would be glad and touched."
