Lee Soo Young and Kim Tae Woo have been named as strong candidates for 'I Am a Singer 2'.

According to information revealed by industry officials on April 9th, Lee Soo Young and Kim Tae Woo were invited as members for the upcoming relaunch of the program on the 22nd. Considering that Lee Soo Young has been on hiatus from the industry ever since getting married and giving birth to her son last year, fans are hoping to see her back sooner than planned.

Kim Tae Woo has been a speculated cast member since the first season. Officials of his agency commented, "We did receive an offer, but we haven't made a final decision yet." Kim Tae Woo has international schedules to consider before accepting the invite.

In related news, 'I Am a Singer 2' will be increasing the number of contestants from seven to 12. Current names rumored to be in the line-up include Lee Juk, Yoon Gun, and Lee Eun Mi. Former contestants Kim Gun Mo, Baek Ji Young, and Kim Yeon Woo have all received invites as well.

PD Kim Young Hee stated, "The first season can be considered a stage of vocalists while the second season will be a stage of musicians."
