Girl group Rainbow are enjoying a successful debut in Japan! On September 14th, the seven-membered group released their first Japanese single, "A", which snagged the #3 spot on the Oricon Daily Singles chart. It's landed them a forerunner position not only amongst local artists in Japan, but also amidst their Korean peers in the industry. On the same day, the girls went to the Tokyo Ikebukuro for their first event, which drew an enthusiastic crowd of 2,000 fans. The girls performed "A" and had a 15-minute talk session. A related source revealed, "2,000 people showed up for an event at a venue that technically held a capacity for 1,500." They continued, "The girls sold 10,141 copies of the album and came in third place after two popular Japanese artists. This is higher than SNSD and KARA's Japanese debut singles."
