The musical '200 Pounds Beauty', starring KARA's Gyuri, is facing some issues with their upcoming performances in Japan. Japan's Asahi Newspaper reported, "Publishing company, Godansha, is stating that '200 Pounds Beauty' has violated the copyright of the original manga and has filed an injunction asking for the musical to be put to a stop, at Tokyo's District Court". In 2006, Godansha signed a license contract with the Korean film distribution company for the popular Korean movie adaptation of '200 Pounds Beauty'. However according to the media report, Japanese production company, Shochiku, was not able to negotiate a deal for a licensing contract with Godansha for the upcoming musical. As a result, Godansha has filed an injunction to stop the upcoming performances.
