Teddy Riley, the composer behind Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" as well as the producer to Lady Gaga and new girl group Rania, has expressed his awe over the K-pop phenomenon. Rania recently held their debut showcase and formally debuted through Mnet's "M! Countdown" on April 7th. Since then, he's been keeping track of all the attention the girls have garnered on community sites like YouTube. A representative of DR Music revealed, "On the morning of the 7th, he made an international call and expressed that he was amazed over the power of K-pop as he watched news of Rania spread through YouTube and Twitter. He's read all of the English news on the girls and is quite stunned." Riley commented, "The majority of the comments weren't from Koreans, but international K-pop fans. I didn't think that people from where I live, the States, would be so interested in K-pop. There were some that even recognized the girls' names, and most of the comments were praising 'K-pop talent.'" He continued, "I'm glad that my girl group is doing so well, and I sincerely congratulate their debut." Although he was originally scheduled to make a visit to Korea during the girls' showcase, his conflicting schedules with Rihanna's album production led him to postpone his visit. Riley revealed that he has plans of going on stage with the girls on a music program soon. Rania has already been selected for a total of seven CFs including chicken ("9ers"), make up ("Swiss Skin"), clothing ("Arena Sports"), school uniforms ("School Looks"), game ("Jin Online"), and banking ("IBK Bank").
