As group 2NE1 wrapped up a highly successful Asia tour performance in Macau, PARK BOM’s onstage behavior has once again ignited controversy.
On February 24th(KST), Sandara Park posted on her social media account with the caption “24-25 2NE1 ASIA TOUR [WELCOME BACK] THE END” along with a video of the Macau show.
In the video, while the other members of 2NE1 were seen enjoying the stage amid thunderous cheers, PARK BOM was observed simply clapping or standing by instead of actively dancing. This scene has further intensified long-standing concerns among fans about what they call “PARK BOM’s lack of stage participation.”
Previously, following a performance in Vietnam, PARK BOM did not appear in an SNS live broadcast, prompting some fans to speculate that she might be distancing herself from the group. Moreover, on February 15th, a collective of 2NE1 fans released an official statement demanding that PARK BOM be excluded from 2NE1 activities, thereby deepening the controversy.
Fans have criticized the repeated SNS controversies and her seemingly lackluster stage presence, stating that these actions betray both the team and the fans. They warned that such unpredictable behavior, which shows little regard for the group or its supporters, is like a ticking time bomb.
Recently, PARK BOM further stirred controversy by referring to actor Lee Min-ho as “my husband,” sparking self-love rumors. Although she explained that “Lee Min-ho told me to write it,” representatives for Lee Min-ho vehemently denied any personal connection and dismissed the claim as completely unfounded.
In the aftermath of the Macau performance, attention is now focused on whether the remaining 2NE1 members will urge PARK BOM to curb her controversial actions and whether similar issues will recur.
Fans are watching closely to see how her onstage demeanor and subsequent conduct might impact 2NE1’s group activities.
Meanwhile, 2NE1, who kicked off their Asia tour last year to commemorate their 15th anniversary since debut, are scheduled to hold an encore concert on April 12-13 at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Bangi-dong, Seoul.
