We love Wong Fu Productions because they never fail to impress -- from humorous mockumentaries to breathtaking shorts, the production trio is always able to weave together an amazing video for viewers around the world to enjoy. For their latest project, Philip Wang, Wesley Chan and Ted Fu produced the ultimate Korean drama spoof, parodizing the unrealistic yet predictable nature that K-drama plots tend to have. Stomping down the beaten path of overused storylines, "Forever Endless Valentine of my Winter Heart" features lovers Seunghyun and Chaerin (sound familiar, YG fans?... Wong Fu tells us that it's no coincidence!) as they struggle to cure Chaerin's failing heart. To introduce the video, the Wong Fu trio writes,
Korean dramas definitely know how to pull at the heart, but really, how believable is some of the stuff that happens?? In this day and age, all the beautifully tragic and emotional romantic situations from older movies and books are a lot more difficult to come by. Lost loves, missed opportunities, lovers' quests...are all taking on new shapes and forms.. This series of shorts might give you an idea of what we mean.Check out the parody below! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlfchQIqUjI Behind-the-scenes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwsgYIO6AgA Anyone who's watched their fair share of Korean dramas has to admit that this is pretty damn accurate - now all we need after the medical operation is for Seunghyun to fall victim to amnesia as Chaerin tragically waits for him in the rain... and we're set!
