Dubbed as the "Effort Idols" for their synchronized swimming performance, the ladies of Rainbow lived up to their nickname once again after pictures of the girls studying Japanese were recently revealed. The members took the pictures after they received their marks for a recent test. Member Jaekyung can be seen posing with a comical, frustrated expression as she was the only member to get less than 100 marks. Since Jaekyung is known for her perfectionist tendencies, the members decided that it would be a fun opportunity to tease her with her 99.5% score. With the unveiling of the pictures, the public came to understand that Rainbow had been learning Japanese for the past two months. While practicing Japanese at the company building, Rainbow expressed, "Since it's a language we're learning for the first time, there are some parts that are difficult to understand, but since the members have no fear in learning foreign languages, all of us have a really fun time in class. Since our teacher focuses on everyday conversational language rather than strict textbook grammar, us seven members don't even realize how fast the time flies by when we gossip in Japanese." Their Japanese teacher added, "They started learning from scratch, but thanks to the members' ability to learn languages quickly, a basic conversational level is achievable within a short period of time. Of course, there are still a lot of things to learn, but the class atmosphere is always really great and with the members' naturally strong enthusiasm, I think they'll get even better than they are now."
