It was reported recently that Kim Ga Young stood on stage alongside her four-membered trainee group for a performance at Shinhwa's Eric's recent fanmeet in Japan.
Kim Ga Young told Money Today Star News, "I got to sing at Eric oppa's Japanese fanmeet. I didn't do as well as I thought, but I tried my best, and Eric oppa's fans also enjoyed it too."
On this day, the four-membered trainee group received great support from the audience as they sung a song that was given as a present from fellow Shinhwa member, Lee Minwoo.
"I haven't even debuted, but one Eric oppa fan actually recognized my face and specifically asked, "Aren't you Kim Ga Young-ssi?" and shook my hand. I was amazed, and I was also able to feel Eric oppa's hot popularity," expressed Ga Young.
Ga Young is en route to debut as part of an idol group with three others under Eric's agency, Top Class Entertainment. "The oldest is really good at singing, and the maknae is the best at dancing. Another member is perfect at singing and dancing. It's me who just needs to do well. We're working hard with a joyful mindset."
She also revealed, "We're preparing to show our perfect image for our debut at the end of May. This year, I want to take off my 'Gukak National High School Kim Yuna' nickname."
Back in 2009, Kim Ga Young first shot to fame through her appearance on popular variety show "1N2D", through which she attracted the most attention for her similar appearance with figure queen Kim Yuna. After graduating from the Gukak National High School early last year, she is currently on temporary leave at the Sungkyunkwan University as a dance performance major.
