Fans of "Jungle Fish" are anticipating the release of the mini sequel "Jungle Fish 2" on September 25. As a bonus, the eight-episode series will also be released as a movie on December 2010. "Jungle Fish" gained critical acclaim, as it was awarded the American Peabody Award. It is also KBS' program with the most national awards. The original series boasted a cast lineup with Park Bo Young, 2PM's Chan Sung, and Kim Soo Hyun. The sequel boasts a strong line-up of young talents, including T-ara's Jiyeon, MBLAQ's Lee Joon, and model/actor Hong Jong Hyun. Interestingly, Jiyeon and Lee Joon have previous acting experiences from "God of Studies" and "Ninja Assassin". The diseased student's six elementary school friends investigate the death, and as the story progresses, reveal their individual problems and fears. The sequel will highlight the social issues that Korea's high school students suffer from, such as educational corruption, bullying, pregnancy, and family disputes. The first film was solely focused on the drama of internal and external struggles, but the sequel will be a dramatic thriller. Check out the preview below.
