MC Mong, who is currently under fire for draft dodging, is stirring up netizen criticism once again, as netizens are actively investigating the September 13th post on his personal homepage. A post entitled, "MC Mong took 10 painkillers and wandered around partying", has popped up on various internet message boards, and has gained attention for accusing MC Mong of lying about his reasons for delaying army service. The netizen accusing MC Mong cited a 2004 interview with Sports Seoul as evidence, as the rapper stated, "I first fell into rap and dance in 1995. After the nightclub in the Kangnam district closed, I went to the club 'Moonlight' in Itaewon to dance again, and then went to a shop called 'Manhattan' to eat ramen." MC Mong further added in the interview, "Because I was getting ready to debut, it was hard to attend school," continuing on to say that he only met the bare minimum in order to graduate high school. MC Mong's earlier conciliatory post stated, "It wasn't only that I had a congenital issue with my teeth, but during high school, my home life wasn't good, so I wasn't able to get proper dental care. It got so bad one time that I had to take 10 painkillers at once just to withstand the pain." Netizens took issue with this particular statement, as they commented, "So you didn't have the money to fix your teeth, but you had the money to go to nightclubs all night?" MC Mong's representatives still state that the issue with his teeth was in fact legitimate. They also state that there will be a criminal trial, so MC Mong should be treated as innocent until proven guilty. Source: Yahoo! Korea
