BEAST's lead vocalist Yang Yoseob was recently diagnosed and treated for laryngitis, vocal nodules, and acid reflux disease. The group was taken to a skincare doctor as well as an ear, nose, and throat specialist by comedian Shin Bong Sun when they appeared on MBC every1's Idol Maid. Yoseob asked the ENT specialist, "I'm a little worried because we're recording a new album these days, and my voice isn't coming out well." He was surprised when he learned that he was actually suffering from laryngitis and acid reflux disease as well as vocal nodules. The doctor stated that because Yoseob's nostrils were more swollen than most people, he would have to be careful during dryer months because of the likelihood of disease. The doctor also mentioned that he was lucky to have come in when he did, and that they could treat his conditions over time. Yoseob's management company Cube Entertainment stated that after the Idol Maid recording, he immediately had surgery for his vocal nodules. He is currently in recovery. Thanks to Chris for the tip.
