Although the channel is now fully back on track with their broadcasting for quite a few weeks now since the labor union strike, the issue with MBC and the union wasn't resolved. Technically, the strike was just merely suspended, with voting decided by the employees who participated in the strike. However, it seems like the strike has finally come to a close today. MBC has officially announced that they've terminated two high-ranking employees who led and supervised the strike. Giving notice to the rest of their workers that consequences will follow if the strike continues. The two workers were Chairperson Lee Geun Haeng and Producer Oh Haeng Woon. According to MBC, the two were terminated due to their leading of an illegal strike movement, on top of disrupting the work environment for other workers. The company backed up their reasoning by providing a bulletin post on MBC's official website, which showed that the employees had violated the company regulations. Some people believe that MBC's termination of these two individuals was extremely unfair. Although the strike is now seemingly over, it seems like this conflict won't be ending for quite a long time.
