Five out of the seven BTS members continue to fulfill their mandatory military service, and the group's commitment to serve in active duty has earned praise.

With their immense global popularity, BTS's mandatory military service has been a major topic of discussion for years, especially leading up to their enlistment. Six of the seven members are serving or have already served as active-duty soldiers, with Jin and J-Hope having already completed their service.

The only exception is SUGA, who is serving as a public service worker due to a past shoulder injury that required surgery. Despite this, he is still diligently carrying out his military duty per South Korea’s conscription laws.

BTS's mandatory military service has once again become a topic of discussion as Korean netizens continue to express admiration toward the members.

One netizen wrote in a popular online community, "I'm not a BTS fan lol, but I still think it's really cool that they all enlisted as active-duty soldiers without exceptions." Other netizens also joined the conversation and gave their two cents.

They wrote:

"Even if you're not a BTS fan, most people think this way. The ones trying to stir things up are probably just people who dislike BTS in the first place."

"Other celebrities try to get public service duty or find ways to avoid enlistment. BTS could have easily done the same, but they didn’t. This group is full of strong-minded individuals who don’t care about criticism and just move forward. Given their immense popularity, the fact that they still chose to enlist is truly impressive."

"But isn’t serving in the military just a given? Why is it such a big deal?"

"Because plenty of idols dance perfectly fine, but as soon as enlistment approaches, they suddenly have health issues and end up in public service. Meanwhile, BTS enlisted despite having other options, which is why they stand out and will likely have even greater longevity in the industry."

"If they had tried to dodge service, there would have been even more controversy. So what’s the point of complaining?"

"Honestly, couldn’t they have arranged for all BTS members to enlist and discharge on the same day? That much should’ve been possible."
"BTS members are admirable for going without excuses, even though they’ll have a tough time."

"If other groups contributed even half of what BTS has done for Korea, they’d be doing well."

"Thinking this way is just common sense as a Korean."

"Regardless, they’re serving sincerely and doing well."

"It really is impressive. My foreign friend even asked if the situation with North Korea was that bad since BTS had to enlist. They couldn’t believe that Korea would send BTS to the military despite the massive economic benefits they bring."

"Jungkook could have focused on building his solo career, but instead, he enlisted in his prime because he wanted to reunite with his Hyungs as a full group. That’s really respectable."
