Baekho is leaving Pledis Entertainment after 13 years

As of March 6  Baekho, the former member of the group NU'EST, has officially decided to part ways with Pledis Entertainment after 13 years.

According to News1 Korea's report on the 6th, Baekho recently agreed to terminate his contract with Pledis Entertainment. After careful discussions, both parties decided to part ways amicably, wishing each other the best for their future endeavors. As a result, Baekho will be leaving Pledis after over a decade of collaboration.

In an official statement, Pledis Entertainment expressed their gratitude to Baekho's fans:
"Hello. this is PLEDIS Entertainment.


We would like to express our sincere 
gratitude to all the fans who have shown unwavering love and support for Baekho.


The exclusive contract with Baekho will officially end on March 14. After thorough and honest discussions about the future direction of his career, both Baekho and PLEDIS Entertainment have mutually agreed to end the contract.


Since his debut as a member of NU’EST in 2012, Baekho has built a distinguished career as a singer-songwriter while expanding his presence into musicals, variety shows, and various other fields. With his remarkable passion and talent, Baekho has made a lasting impact across multiple entertainment domains.


To express his gratitude to the fans who have supported him throughout the years, Baekho will release a digital single on March 14, marking the conclusion of his official activities as an artist under PLEDIS Entertainment.


We are truly grateful to Baekho for working with us all these years. We sincerely hope that Baekho’s new ventures lead to an even more brilliant future, and we wholeheartedly wish him all the best as he embarks on a new journey.

Baekho debuted in 2012 as a member of NU'EST, Pledis's first boy group, and went on to release popular songs like 'Hello,' 'Queen's Knight,' and 'Love Paint.' After appearing on Mnet's 'Produce 101 Season 2' in 2017, Baekho also participated in the NU'EST W subunit.

Following NU'EST's disbandment in 2022, Baekho debuted as a solo artist in September of the same year. He expanded his musical range with tracks like 'No Rules,' 'Elevator,' 'What A We,' 'Love Or Die,' 'Wet and Wild,' and 'Nutty Nutty.'

In addition to his music career, Baekho has showcased his versatility as an entertainer, appearing on various variety shows such as 'The Door' series, 'The Travelogue,' 'Buddy Boys,' 'Idol Truck,' 'Eat Show,' and 'Method Club.'

Despite renewing his contract with Pledis twice based on mutual trust, Baekho has decided to leave the company in search of new challenges. Fans are now eagerly anticipating his future career moves in various fields.
