J.Y. Park has successfully wrapped up his US tour!
Produced by Live Nation, J.Y. Park's 2-day US tour 'Groove Back' kicked off at the King Theatre in Brooklyn, NY, on Friday, February 10, and wrapped up at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA, on Sunday, February 12. With a full 11-member live jazz band, the head of JYP Entertainment truly brought back his own groove with a dose of rock-and-roll and even trotted.
After thanking the audience for showing up on the night of the Super Bowl (and incidentally the weekend before Valentine's Day), J.Y. Park gave the US fans the performance of a lifetime as the veteran singer and dancer has still got the moves in his fifties. He promised his fans that he would continue to give it his all, "even when [he turns] sixty."
The leader of JYP not only sang his own hits but also delivered a tribute to Elvis Presley and others that he wrote and produced. Such numbers included 2PM's "Again & Again" and TWICE's "Alcohol-Free." Many veteran K-Pop fans in the audience also sang along to his older productions, such as g.o.d's "Love And Memory" and One Candle."
The audience overall was full of energy, with their collective age ranging from tiny toddlers to elderly couples. Before one melodic piano encore, the concert officially ended with the original version of J.Y. Park's debut song, "Don't Leave Me."
