
Actors IU and Park Bo Gum have been nominated for Best Actress and Best Actor at the upcoming 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, both recognized for their performances in the hit Netflix drama 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'.
The drama received a total of eight nominations, making it one of the most recognized series this year.
On April 7th, the Baeksang Arts Awards office unveiled the official list of nominees across television, film, and theater. In the TV division, When Life Gives You Tangerines is up for Best Drama, Best Director (Kim Won Seok), Best Screenplay (Im Sang Choon), and multiple acting categories — including Best Supporting Actor (Choi Dae Hoon), Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye Ran), and Best New Actress (Kim Tae Yeon).
IU, who plays the lead role of Ae Soon, will compete against Kim Tae Ri (The Youngest Son), Kim Hye Yoon (Lovely Runner), Go Min Si (Into the Forest with No One), and Jang Nara (Good Partner). Park Bo Gum, who stars as Gwan Shik, is nominated alongside Byeon Woo Seok (Lovely Runner), Lee Jun Hyuk (The Good or the Bad Dong Jae), Joo Ji Hoon (Trauma Center), and Han Suk Kyu (An Intimate Betrayal).
The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony will be held on May 5th at COEX D Hall in Seoul, and broadcast live via JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4. This year marks the third consecutive partnership between the Baeksang Awards and luxury brand Gucci, which continues to support Korean creative talent under its Gucci Impact Award.
