
Cha Jun Hwan recently became a gold medalist at the 2025 Asian Winter Games, adding yet another impressive achievement to his long list of figure skating accolades. He is the first South Korean man to win and to medal at the Asian Winter Games.
23-year-old Cha Jun Hwan is known for his successful figure skating career, but he started out as a child actor, model, and ballet dancer. After winning the recent Asian Winter Games, Cha Jun Hwan was featured as a guest on an episode of "Knowing Bros," where he opened up about some of his future goals and what he plans to do after retiring from figure skating.
In the latest episode, Shindong asks Cha Jun Hwan if his dream was to become an entertainer after his retirement, and the figure skater answered: "I started out as a child actor and then changed my career, so I feel like I haven’t gotten to try everything yet. That's why if I get the chance later, I want to try becoming an actor after retirement."
Cha Jun Hwan was then asked, "If you've been dreaming of being an actor, haven't you ever dreamed of becoming an idol? Entertainment agencies must have contacted you a lot. Didn’t you get a call from SM?"
Cha Jun Hwan answered by revealing a surprising new detail: "I did receive a business card from SM."
