MBC weathercaster Park Ha Myung’s past social media post resurfaces amid controversy.

A past social media post by MBC weathercaster Park Ha Myung has resurfaced, drawing attention amid allegations of workplace bullying related to the late Oh Yoanna.

The post, originally written on September 24 KST, 2023, was shared shortly after Oh Yoanna’s passing on September 15. In the message, Park Ha Myung expressed deep emotional distress, writing, “After work, when I get into my car, I completely break down. The small space in my underground parking lot, inside my car, is where I cry the most.” She continued, “At this point, I don’t even know how far my pain goes or how difficult it has become.”

She further shared, “No matter how hard I try to improve and smile, the world keeps throwing another bomb my way, as if mocking my efforts. I just want to stop trying so hard. I don’t need to overcome, endure, recover, or move on—I just want peace.”

Park Ha Myung also wrote, “I feel like I’m a good person, like I’ve lived a good life, but did I do something terribly wrong in my past life?” She added, “These days, I don’t even have the strength to say I’m struggling.”

Since Park Ha Myung has been accused of workplace bullying related to Oh Yoanna’s case, some speculate that this post may have reflected her feelings about the situation.

Despite the controversy, Park Ha Myung has continued her weather broadcasts as of February 4, with growing public criticism. She has since disabled comments on her social media but has not issued any public statement.

Meanwhile, MBC has also disabled comments on weather reports featuring Park Ha Myung, seemingly aware of the public backlash.

MBC has announced that a fact-finding committee will investigate the circumstances surrounding Oh Yoanna’s passing. Additionally, a formal complaint regarding the workplace bullying allegations at MBC has been submitted through the National Petition System, and police have launched a preliminary investigation.
