On February 12th KST, Jennie released a live performance video of ‘Love Hangover’ via her official social media and YouTube channel.
The video opens with Jennie bathed in a spotlight, immediately commanding attention in a dark, intimate setting. Showcasing her signature sultry vocals and deep emotional delivery, she brings out the dreamy yet melancholic essence of the track.
Jennie also flawlessly interprets Dominic Fike’s rap verse in her own style, adding a unique touch to the performance. With her effortless blend of chic and edgy charisma, she enhances the song’s mood and delivers a visually striking and immersive experience.
‘Love Hangover’ explores the irresistible pull of a toxic attraction, likening a person to both poison and a cure. The hypnotic rhythm and heart-wrenching lyrics convey the turmoil of trying to let go but ultimately failing.
The track has seen remarkable global success, debuting at No. 96 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Jennie’s highest solo ranking to date. It also claimed No. 1 on iTunes ‘Top Songs’ charts in 34 regions, including Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam, and entered the UK Official Singles Chart at No. 64.
Meanwhile, Jennie will release her first solo album, ‘Ruby,’ on March 7th. To celebrate, she will hold ‘The Ruby Experience’ showcase events in Los Angeles, New York, and Seoul. The tour kicks off at The Peacock Theater in LA on March 6–7, followed by Radio City Music Hall in New York on March 10, and Inspire Arena in Seoul on March 15.
