BOYNEXTDOOR teams up with ‘Tom and Jerry’ for special collaboration
BOYNEXTDOOR is set to collaborate with Warner Bros.’ beloved animated characters, ‘Tom and Jerry’, in celebration of their 85th anniversary.
On February 10th KST, BOYNEXTDOOR was invited to Warner Bros. Japan’s headquarters for the anniversary event, despite their busy schedule with their first solo tour, ‘BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR KNOCK ON Vol.1’.
At the event, the group surprised fans and media by announcing an upcoming collaboration track set to be released later this year. They shared, “To mark ‘Tom and Jerry’s’ 85th anniversary, we’ll be releasing a song that perfectly matches their charm. We’re excited to be part of this special project.” The group also hinted at potential character-themed merchandise, sparking curiosity about their next moves.
Originally debuting in 1940, ‘Tom and Jerry’ remains one of Warner Bros.’ most iconic and beloved animations worldwide.
This unexpected collaboration highlights BOYNEXTDOOR’s growing popularity in Japan. Since their debut single ‘AND,’the group has participated in major festivals, graced magazine covers, and significantly expanded their presence. Their recent digital single, ‘One and Only I LOVE YOU’, has been a major success, topping Spotify Japan’s Daily Viral Songs chart on January 20th and maintaining a high ranking as of February 8th. Both the original and its Japanese version, ‘今日だけ I LOVE YOU (Japanese Ver.)’, have also charted on Spotify Japan’s Daily Top Songs list.
Riding this momentum, BOYNEXTDOOR continues their ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’ tour across Japan. Following successful concerts in Incheon, Tokyo, Aichi, and Osaka, they will bring their performances to Miyagi, Fukuoka, and Kanagawa.
