Faker charms fans with his sweet side on ‘Salon Drip 2’.
On January 7th KST, the preview for the upcoming episode of ‘Salon Drip 2’ featured the legendary pro gamer Faker interacting with host Jang Do Yeon, showcasing not only his exceptional skills and character but also a sweet and endearing personality.
Faker, who initially appeared shy and unfamiliar with the variety show setting, quickly gained his composure and humorously turned the tables by asking sharp questions such as, “What makes ‘Salon Drip 2’ unique?” This earned him applause from the production team.
When Jang Do Yeon posed the hypothetical question, “Would you lose on purpose if you played League of Legends against Son Heung Min?” Faker firmly responded, “Absolutely not,” displaying his competitive spirit. However, when asked if he would intentionally lose to a girlfriend, he playfully replied, “I would,” showcasing his softer side and earning laughs.
When asked about his total prize money, Faker humbly stated, “I’ve never calculated it.” He was also asked if Jang could visit his home, reportedly equipped with a private sauna. Without uttering a word, Faker took a sip of his drink, humorously conveying a silent “no.”
Born in 1996, Faker is widely recognized as the world’s best League of Legends player and currently plays for T1. He recently led his team to victory at the League of Legends World Championship and clinched a gold medal in e-sports at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. Additionally, Faker was named LCK’s Player of the Year.
While his official salary has never been disclosed, estimates suggest that it ranges from 5 billion to 7 billion KRW annually, with some speculating it could exceed 10 billion KRW(approximately 6.9 million USD). These figures only add to his mystique and status as a gaming icon.
