On the January 17 episode of KBS 2TV’s 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (commonly referred to as Fun-Staurant), actress Lee Jung Hyun, who gave birth to her second daughter at the age of 44 last October, opened up about her touching childbirth journey.

The episode featured Lee preparing for her hospital stay while interacting with her first daughter, Seo Ah. As she packed for her stay at a postpartum care center, Lee tenderly asked Seo Ah, “Can you manage with just Dad while I’m gone?” Seo Ah’s immediate “Yes” response left Lee feigning disappointment, eliciting laughter. 

However, the moment turned sweetly emotional when Seo Ah clung to her mother’s leg as she was leaving, saying, “Mommy, take me with you,” showcasing the strong bond between mother and daughter.

Despite her nerves heading into the operating room, Lee successfully delivered her second child, earning heartfelt congratulations from the studio panelists. Overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing her newborn, Lee expressed her joy, saying, “She’s so tiny. Hello, my little treasure, it’s Mommy,” and added with a smile, “She looks just like her big sister.”

Later, Lee’s husband added to the warmth of the episode by holding her hand and saying, “You did so well,” as she recovered. Lee shared the joyous news with Seo Ah via a video call, telling her excitedly, “Your baby sister looks just like you!”

The segment also captured Lee marveling at her newborn in the hospital nursery. Gazing lovingly at her baby, she remarked to her husband, “She looks exactly like you,” unable to hide her amazement and affection.

Lee’s heartfelt story of welcoming her second daughter brought viewers closer to her family life, leaving them moved and inspired by the actress’s journey into motherhood once again.
