On November 19th KST, Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin appeared on the YouTube channel 'Channel Fullmoon' to share updates about their lives and upcoming projects.
The live stream titled ”[Live] Yoo Yeon Seok X Chae Soo Bin for ‘When the Phone Rings’” introduced the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'When the Phone Rings'. The two actors also revealed their promotional activities, saying, “We’re just starting our promotions and will soon appear together on SBS’s Teum.”
Yoo Yeon Seok described the drama as “a secret romance thriller about a couple in a three-year arranged marriage, sparked by a threatening phone call,” coining the term romance thriller to define its unique genre.
Chae Soo Bin, who plays a character with selective mutism, demonstrated sign language during the broadcast. To everyone’s surprise, she mentioned that even swear words like “jerk” have corresponding signs, which caused laughter.
Na Young Seok PD, also present during the live, humorously joined in, saying, “Well, it’s sign language—I should learn it too,” as he tried to mimic the signs for dog and puppy.
When discussing the premiere date of A Call From Now on November 22nd, Na PD asked, “Does it overlap with the finale of Three Meals a Day?” Yoo Yeon Seok replied, “It also clashes with The Fiery Priest 2.” Na PD quipped, “The competition is intense.” Yoo Yeon Seok joked, “I saw the The Fiery Priest team promoting their show, but we need to survive too. Please give us lots of support!”
Currently hosting SBS’s Teum, Yoo Yeon Seok shared a humorous anecdote: “I’m hosting a show on SBS while promoting an MBC drama. The The Fiery Priest team appeared on Teum to promote their show. So I told the producers, ‘I’m in a drama airing at the same time!’ and brought Chae Soo Bin onto the set.” His lighthearted attitude toward cross-network promotions amused viewers.
The drama When the Phone Rings, starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin, is set to premiere on Friday, November 22nd, at 9:50 p.m.
