On November 4, SHINee member and solo artist Minho returned with a new project.
On the same day, the first-day sales tracking for his debut studio album 'CALL BACK' ended. According to the Hanteo chart, the album recorded 52,959 copies sold on its release day.
With this, 'CALL BACK' has outsold his first solo musical project 'CHASE,' which had around 24,000 first-day sales.
'CALL BACK' marks Minho's return as a solo artist, nearly two years after releasing his debut solo mini-album 'CHASE' in December 2022. The album comprises of 10 songs, including the title track, “CALL BACK,” a dynamic pop song that captures Minho's determination to express his feelings without hesitation. The track showcases Minho's emotive vocals against a backdrop of a deep bass line, powerful piano notes and an energetic guitar riff, all combining to heighten the song’s intensity.
The album reflects Minho's expanded musical range. It includes collaborations with fellow SM Entertainment artists, such as aespa’s Ningning, who features in “Because Of You” for a heartfelt duet, and RIIZE’s Sohee for “FIREWORKS,” a song exuding with an uplifting vibe. Minho also experiments with new styles in tracks like “Affection,” his first Afrobeat song, and “Would You Mind,” a song imbued with raw, break-up emotions.
