Musician Jessi has been cleared of charges including threatening, concealment of perpetrator 'A', and assisting 'A' during his escape from the scene.
Previously on September 29, a fan of Jessi, 'B', was assaulted by a male individual who was part of Jessi's party at approximately 3:50 AM KST. Other party members quickly stepped in to prevent further violence, including Jessi, who prevented another male party member, producer Koala, from approaching the injured 'B'. Afterward, charges were pressed against Jessi, 'A', and Koala for reasons including threatening, assault, concealment of the perpetrator, and assistance in helping 'A' dodge investigation.
On October 16, Jessi was summoned by police for questioning. Now, after evaluating the case, the police have decided to drop the charges against Jessi, finding, "There is little evidence to indicate that Jessi participated in the assault or in threatening the victim, nor did she make any attempts to assist the perpetrator dodge the investigation."
Producer Koala, on the other hand, will soon be forwarded to prosecution for assault and threatening.
Jessi's side continues to maintain wishes for 'B's speedy recovery and a peaceful resolution to the issue.
