The 2024 Melon Music Awards (MMA) was an unforgettable celebration of musical talent, gathering the top groups in K-pop to create the most showstopping performances yet.

But this year’s MMA was also notable for another reason: each of the four Daesangs (grand prizes) were awarded to girl groups. It’s the first time this has occurred in the nearly 20 years that the MMA has been taking place.
