According to their agency, YG Entertainment, on November 13th, BABYMONSTER topped China’s largest music streaming platform, QQ Music’s K-pop Weekly Chart (2024.11.01~2024.11.07), with their first full-length album [DRIP].
Their double title tracks, 'DRIP' and 'CLIK CLAK', ranked 1st and 3rd respectively, with all new songs from the album securing spots in the top ranks.
The group also dominated major QQ Music charts, with 'DRIP' leading categories like Rising, Trending, Popular, and New Song charts, while its MV has held top positions for 13 days. The consistent high rankings of the album’s tracks highlight the strong interest and anticipation from local fans for BABYMONSTER’s music.
Their popularity extends beyond China to global music fans. 'DRIP' debuted at 149 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and achieved their highest ranks on the Billboard Global (Billboard Global Excl. U.S) and Billboard Global 200 at 16th and 30th, respectively.
Album sales have also been remarkable. [DRIP] sold a total of 677,961 copies, setting a new personal record for the group. With 820,000 copies ordered within the first week, their sales have nearly doubled compared to previous releases.
Building on this momentum, BABYMONSTER plans to appear on various platforms, including music shows, variety programs, radio, and YouTube. Starting next year, they will embark on their first world tour, aiming to expand their global presence.
