The Wind held a showcase on October 7th at Ilji Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their third mini-album, 'Hello: My First Love'.
The new album, 'Hello: My First Love', is a collection of heartfelt emotions a young boy experiences during his first love, expressing innocence along with a slightly awkward but sincere confession.
Returning with new music after seven months, Kim Heesoo shared, "It’s been seven months since our last comeback. This is our first showcase since our debut, and it’s also our first comeback showcase. I think I’m a bit nervous, but we’ve worked hard on this album and are back with an improved version of ourselves."
The title track, 'Hello, My First Love', combines an emotional melody with beautiful lyrics to evoke memories of first love. The album also includes four other songs: 'Dandelion,' 'It Doesn’t Feel Like We're Just Friends,' 'Good Morning,' and 'The Way Home.'
Jang Hyunjun explained the title track, "We’ve talked about youth in the past, but this is the first time we’re expressing the feeling of love. This album feels like our first confession."
Kim Heesoo added, "We've always focused on a fresh and youthful image, but this time the song also has emotional highs, which I felt really expresses The Wind’s unique color."
The Wind’s signature freshness is blended with the theme of "first love" in this new title track. With many boy groups embracing the "fresh" concept, Choi Hanbin commented, "I think we have our own sense of excitement. By combining that with the youthful emotions and the theme of first love, we hope people will see us as a distinctive group."
When asked about their goals for this promotion, Park Hayuchan said, "Our pre-released song received positive reactions, so I hope more people get to know us. I want people to realize that we can pull off the 'first love' concept as well."
Thanathorn added, "Personally, I’d love for us to win first place on a music show. I think our group is known for strong live performances, and I’d really like to perform an encore stage on a music show."
The Wind’s new album was released at 6 p.m. on the same day.
