Former NCT member Taeil was found to have held a live stream after his sexual assault charges.
Taeil is undergoing police investigation for aggravated quasi-rape against an unconscious woman as reported on October 7 KST. According to reports, Taeil and two of his acquaintances allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who was intoxicated in June of this year.
Police have confirmed Taeil was booked on the charges of sexual assault on June 13 after they received the alleged victim's report. It's now been revealed the former NCT member held a live social media stream just a day after on June 14 KST.
The detail has shocked netizens as he's said to have acted as usual during the live stream. During the stream, Taeil appeared without makeup and expressed, "I thought about turning the stream on at 12AM yesterday, but I thought some people would be sleeping. I was so sleepy that I thought I might be too down." He's also said to have talked about his new hairstyle and hummed along to songs.
Netizens who saw the video of the live stream with the details of Taeil's charges commented, "I'm getting goosebumps watching it again," "Taeil, don't come out of prison please," "There's really nothing that can be said of him humming to songs."
Rumors say the alleged victim in question is a foreign national.
As previously reported, aggravated quasi-rape involves committing rape while armed with a weapon or acting in concert with two or more people against a victim who is incapacitated or unable to resist. If the charges are upheld, Moon could face at least seven years in prison or a life sentence under Article 4, Section 1 of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and Other Crimes.
