Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin revealed that she personally designed the logos for both SM Entertainment and HYBE.
On September 27, Min Hee Jin spoke as a keynote speaker at the '2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel,' held in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at 9 PM. The theme of her talk was "The Producer Who Breaks K-pop’s Formula: Min Hee Jin’s Freestyle," and her session lasted 100 minutes, twice as long as those of other speakers.
During the talk, Min Hee Jin stated, "I created both the SM logo and the HYBE logo," adding, "I didn’t come up with the name HYBE, but I did create the slogan."
She emphasized, "I put my hopes and soul into how I envisioned the company could be."
She went on to say, "I thought it would be great to combine art and business in a perfect way, but no one seemed to be doing that. I wanted to try."
Dressed in a black leather jacket and a black cap, Min Hee Jin thanked the audience for their enthusiastic welcome, saying, "I can’t believe you’re welcoming me like this." However, she politely requested that the audience refrain from filming her on their phones, saying, "Please don’t take photos. The truth is, we won’t have many opportunities to face each other like this. Whether you're Bunnies (NewJeans fans) or not, this moment is very precious to me. I want today to feel like a conversation with friends."
The 'Da Vinci Motel' is a cultural fusion event by Hyundai Card that features talks, performances, exhibitions, and busking, bringing together icons from various fields, including art, academia, business, and technology.
Meanwhile, on the 11th of this month, NewJeans members held an emergency live broadcast on YouTube, requesting Min Hee Jin's reinstatement as CEO by September 25. On the 25th, HYBE proposed a compromise, rejecting her reinstatement as CEO but offering to reappoint her as an internal director. However, Min Hee Jin declined this offer.
