LE SSERAFIM members created lasting memories with elderly villagers on the show ‘Hometown Report.’
In the episode aired on September 9 KST on KBS1TV’s ‘Hometown Report’ LE SSERAFIM made another appearance following their lively participation last week.
Although the group was absent from the studio this week, they continued to show their energetic involvement. The hosts asked Son Heon Soo, “Weren’t they supposed to come with you today?” to which he responded, “LE SSERAFIM’s new comeback stage has already reached 7th on the Billboard charts, and they are currently in the U.S. I wanted to connect with them over the phone, but I refrained as it might disrupt their activities.”
Despite their absence from the studio, LE SSERAFIM appeared in a VCR showing their time spent in Paju. The members were seen having a meal with the elders at the local village hall. The villagers mistakenly renamed the group “Ultra Self-Farm,” bringing laughter to the scene.
Later, Sakura, Kazuha, and Huh Yunjin were seen arriving at a mung bean field, where they volunteered to take over the work from the elderly. “Please rest, we’ll handle this,” they said as they eagerly stepped forward. Son Heon Soo proudly remarked, “LE SSERAFIM is truly commendable.” The members transformed from idols to “hometown idols,” giving their all to complete the task. Afterward, they enjoyed cooling off with refreshing melons as a reward for their hard work.
Following their efforts, the group changed clothes and headed back to the village hall, where they gifted the villagers line dance uniforms. LE SSERAFIM shared, “We received so much energy from this experience; we felt happy.” They also cheered on the elders, wishing them luck in their line dance competition.
The emotional farewell between the elders and the members left a heartwarming impression. The elders expressed, “It was so fun to play with them; it was great to see such lovely young ladies. We will practice the dance LE SSERAFIM taught us and aim for victory next year. Way to go!” It was a time filled with precious memories shared between LE SSERAFIM and the villagers.
Son Heon Soo concluded with a smile, joking, “They could start a sub-unit called ‘Ultra Self-Farm.’ If they visit again, we’ll treat them to some delicious, Korean melons.”
