The upcoming drama 'Starting Today, I'm Human' has officially announced its casting, confirming Kim Hye Yoon and Park Solomon in the lead roles.
Set to air on SBS in 2025, this romantic comedy tells the unique story of a gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) who refuses to become human and a soccer star whose wish was stolen by the gumiho. The drama will explore their unlikely and entertaining relationship.
The series is directed by Kim Jung Kwon, known for his work on 'Maestra: Strings of Truth' and 'Love to Hate You,' and written by the team of Park Chan Young and Jo Ah Young, who previously worked on 'Best Chicken.' Production is being handled by Binge Works, the company behind 'My Demon' and 'Today's Webtoon.'
Kim Hye Yoon, who has chosen this project following her previous role in 'Lovely Runner,' will play Eun Ho, a quirky gumiho who has no desire to live as an ordinary human. With a playful and youthful charm, she enjoys the human world, selectively picking the most entertaining parts to indulge in. The role is expected to highlight Kim Hye Yoon’s signature lively and charming acting style.
In a statement, Kim Hye Yoon expressed her excitement about the project, saying, "I am thrilled to greet you all with this new role and I hope you look forward to seeing different aspects of my acting."
