Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan have teamed up to create a new K-pop boy group, consisting of 3 Korean members and 3 Japanese members. The group, titled ‘KJRGL,’ is set to debut in September with their full album ‘Overture ~ The Blue Wave.’
KJRGL’s name was chosen as an acronym for the phrase “Kind (of) Just Right Good Luck.” It also combines the Japanese word ‘Kujira’ with the Korean word ‘Golae,’ meaning ‘whale.’
The group’s members are Akira, Kouki, Dien, Saeron, Riku, and Isaac. Multiple members participated on trainee competition shows in the past: Dien and Riku on Boys’ Planet, Akira on Tora Project, and Kouki on Produce 101 Japan.
KJRGL will be releasing a pre-debut single, titled ‘Prologue ~ the Deepest Blue,’ on September 4. Following that, the group will make their official debut on September 18, 2024 with the album “Overture ~ The Blue Wave.”
