CUBE Entertainment’s rookie boy group NOWadays is set to make a comeback with their new single album.
On August 27 at 6 PM KST, NOWadays will release their second single album titled ‘NOWHERE’. The album, which includes three tracks—“Why Not?”, “Heart vs Head”, and “Not Him, But You”— carries the message of creating unforgettable moments with their unique charm and musicality, symbolized by the phrase “NO WHERE, NOW HERE.”
The title track “Why Not?” is a hip-hop dance song featuring funky brass elements, showcasing NOWadays’ free-spirited yet intense appeal. The lyrics tell a playful story of a boy who falls in love with his dream girl and the teasing he receives from his friends.
This track was produced by the hitmaker team Boombastic, known for their work with top artists like I.O.I (“Downpour”), SEVENTEEN (“Pretty U”), and god (“Look At Me”). The team handled the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, infusing NOWadays’ signature quirky and passionate energy into the song.
The album also includes “Heart vs Head,” which portrays the clumsy side of love where emotions don’t always align with intentions, and “Not Him, But You,” which offers realistic advice from friends to a pure-hearted boy in love. Each track is interconnected, presenting a multi-faceted narrative that adds depth and value to the album as a whole.
Member Siyoon, who previously contributed to the rap-making for the debut tracks “OoWee” and “TICKET,” also participated in writing the rap for “Not Him, But You,” further showcasing his musical talents. There is growing anticipation to see whether NOWadays will establish themselves as the leading boy group under CUBE with this new release.
